I saw this video yesterday and it has stayed in my mind since then. Arkansas Bo lays out a dream he had about major southern artists giving him props and advice on how to succeed in hip hop. But in this unique way of letting the world know about his dream, Arkansas Bo raps in the styles of the people who are giving him advice. So in his own way, Arkansas Bo is also showing respect to those who he thinks are legends of southern rap. This video shows his lyrical range and skill set. I really enjoyed this and am waiting to see what’s next from him.

Another Year has passed, another Decade is over.

Let’s take a minute to reflect shall we?

In the midst of a recession, entertainment continues to be big business. Making us laugh, cry, and taking our minds off of these trying times, music and movies remain a key staple in our lives. 2009 was nothing short of eventful in the music business. The Black Eyed Peas broke billboard records, T.I. took a vacation, and the King of Pop finally fulfilled his legacy, passing away after 50 incredible years on this earth (most of which were spent entertaining us). Now we must wonder what to expect in 2010.

With projects by Sade, Outkast and Drake among many others all slated to be released, this year is sure to be another exciting one and us music lovers have a lot to look forward to. Will Shania Twain return and will she be able to enjoy the same kind of success that she’s had in the past? Will Dr. Dre finally release his long awaited Detox album, and will Amy Winehouse stay sober long enough to complete her new album? One can only guess for now.

So as we sit and wonder what Lady Gaga will wear next, or what award show Kanye West will sabotage next, let us all be thankful that we at least have something to talk about while we wait in the unemployment line. What a wonderful world!
