I’m sure that most of you remember the fatal shooting of up- and -coming  Atlanta based rapper, Dolla last May at a crowded Los Angeles mall. Well, it seems that the man responsible for the killing has finally seen his day in court.  On Friday Aubrey Berry was acquitted and his attorney’s are saying that their client was acting in self defense emphasizing that the rapper glorified a violent gangster lifestyle in his rap lyrics and online videos.

Jurors rejected prosecutors’ contentions that the killing of Dolla, whose real name was Roderick Anthony Burton II, was a callous act of apparent revenge. Reportedly Dolla and Berry had been involved in a fight at an Atlanta club two weeks before the shooting.

When asked about Dolla’s  so-called gangster image, Deputy District Attorney Bobby Grace said, “I would hate to think that the jurors’ decision was based solely on lyrics,” he said. “It appears they believed what the defendant had to say.”

This is such a sad story…it is absolutely ridiculous that this killer will be able to walk the streets again.  I’m just wondering how they can judge Dolla based on lyrics but not judge this man based on an act.WORDS VS.  ACTIONS… you can’t place word’s  at an higher level of threat than actions. Regardless of anything that Dolla had said in his lyrics…he never shot at that man. Those jurors had the opportunity to put this man in prison for this rest of his life and they failed tremendously. I am disgusted by the people on that juror!

Earlier today Michael Jackson’s physician, Conrad Murray, appeared in an LA courtroom to face charges of involuntary manslaughter.  He pleaded not guilty, but if he’s convicted he will face up to four years in prison.

After an 8 month investigation, prosecutors charged the cardiologist with administering a lethal dose of painkillers and anesthetics to the pop star just hours before his death on June 25.  Many of Jacksons family members were in court including his mother and father, Jermaine, Tito, Randy, Jackie and LaToya.

Murray’s bail is set at 75,000 and while he is still allowed to practice cardiology, Judge Keith Shwartz told him that he is not allowed to sedate anybody.  Toxicology reports indicate that Murray administered propofol and a mixture of other sedatives that were the cause of Jackson’s death.  We will keep you informed as the story unfolds.

Dr Conrad Murray is accused of acting ?unlawfully and without malice? in bringing about Michael Jackson's death, according to a complaint filed by prosecutors
