Curtis Young aka Hood Surgeon, son of the legendary Dr. Dre is following in his father’s footsteps and launching his own recording label, Young Entertainment Inc. Young refers to his music as a “new era of positive feel good music for the West Coast.” He plans to release his debut solo album Product of My DNA this Summer  off of his record label. Young has already been on several mixtapes, including Family Tree Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Son of A Doctor and Billionaire Dreams.

Young tells AllHipHop,  “My world became complete when I finally met my father at the age of 21,” he adds,  “I am extremely grateful for my father paving the road for me and many other artists. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to take over a legacy. As a producer, my father has set extremely high standards to existing and upcoming producers all over the globe but my hard and dedicated work will show everyone that I deserve the name Young.”

Young’ s album will be surprisingly personal, he shares how he met his father Dr. Dre and gives details about their relationship.

“For my debut album, you can expect to learn about the making of Curtis Young,” Young promised. “The story of actually becoming a product of society. People can expect to hear the true meaning of ‘Product Of My DNA’ that will let people know who Curtis Young is and how I learned about my father, Dr. Dre.”

Produced by The Skouts, the track itself is not loaded with space age synths and trunk rattlin 808’s, rather it is a simple drumline with some hi hats and organs and it ignites the unrivaled conviction shown by the FrontStreet Records veteran.

From the Supras on his feet to the new era on his dome, Jab lets you know why he’s living like he’s the only superstar around.

Is he cocky or confident?

FrontStreet is…!
