Just when I thought that I was done hearing about 50 Cent and his childish beefs…here we go again. A couple days ago XXL did an conference call where journalist could call in and do a question and answer with rapper Shyne. Everything seemed to be going smooth until none other than Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson called in pretending to be a journalist asking Shyne ” What is your real issue  with 50?” He was immediately disconnected but somehow found a way to get through again. This time he began yelling “Shut up n*gga! Shut up. You are on an island. You are on a f*cking island! I don’t care if you are in jail. i hope you got raped by a pack of n**gas.”

So… What what was Shyne’s reaction to Mr. Jackson’s phone hi-jacking? MTV contacted Shyne and this is what he had to say:

Wow. That’s like an all-time low. I didn’t know he was so desperate. He’s gone from confidential informant, witness-protection program dude, getting order [of protection] on muthaf—as. Now he’s a stalker. I was in shock. He called up saying he was ‘Jamal from Harlem.’ He didn’t call up saying he’s Curtis Jackson, Hawaii 5-0. He’s a busta. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe he would stoop to that low. Then again, a guy in the witness-protection program, he has no shame.”

Smh. I just can’t believe that 50 Cent really took the time to do that. Is it really that lonely at the top? I think that he is a really smart man and I am most definitely a fan but I’m really trying to figure out what kind of stupid juice he was sippin’ on that day. I wonder if he missed the memo that described where he is in his career compared to Shyne. It just doesn’t make sense and definitly not worth the time and effort.

Oh and I don’t know about you all but I hate that he basically repeated the infamous Mel Gibson statement about rape and a herd of n**gas. It was bad enough when Mel Gibson said it…Geez!  Stop the insanity people!

Earlier This week Kanye West gave an awesome performance of  his new song ‘Power’ at the Singapore Music Fest.  In the song Kanye apologizes to his fans:

But when I finally got the power, what the f*ck did i do? I’m so sorry to y’all, everyone one of y’all that had to fight for my name/ Everyone of y’all a year ago that I made feel ashamed/ Everyone that said “Kanye is that n*gga quick [inaudible] my name, And all ya’ll…I am the one to blame / and the people that I let down, I wanna tell you, right here, right now that I’m a new man and understand my position of power.

Kudos to Kanye for taking time out to better himself… it takes a strong person to admit to having  a problem and an even stronger person to do something about it. *clapping it up for Kanye*  I’m a huge Kanye fan but I was extremely worried about him after that Taylor Swift spotlight stealing incident. I guess time will tell if he is truly a changed man…either way I’m pretty sure that I’ll remain a fan. I look forward to hearing more of that honest and “in your face” Kanye music that I’ve been missing?

“I’m Back” by T.I.

After spending 7 months in prison for illegal possession of firearms, rapper T.I. is back with his first single “I’m Back” produced by TrackSlayerz. Like everyone else I have been quietly anticipating the return of  The King of The South and this new single has proven to be worth the wait. T.I. is definitely back and giving his fans exactly what we have been missing. On the track he takes shots at other artist saying “My desire to retire grow wit every new coupe, cause these guys just don’t ride like my n-ggas used to, tight jeans, funny hair, cuz dancing on the screen, it’s some ballerina n-ggas  in the game so it seems.”   He also shouts out fellow rappers, spitting ” n-gga probably just seen Wayne, Gucci Mane, Me and Boosie all go to prison, now he flip his whole image… n-gga tripping.”

Regardless of what the haters have to say, T.I. is back and not playing games. After listening to that track…I forget he ever left. If you were thinking that T.I. was going to have a problem coming back….Think again!
