Resolution – illusion!!

I went to the gym today and got PISSED; can’t use the treadmill, can’t get on the bench, couldn’t do curls… Damn!!! Now please don’t get me wrong, I’m for making resolutions, or goals, that involve true commitment – like you know half these people won’t be here January 21, 2010, right? OK so dare I say my frustration lies in the fact that I felt worthless at the gym today OR are my resolutions different than most?

I entitled this post “resolution – illusion” because most people set themselves up for failure because they lack discipline and faith… Go to the gym, burn the calories… I applaud! Save more money, find a mate, pray more, etc… I applaud… BUT, stick with it!!!

What are your resolutions (or short term goals) for 2010 – Jay Z said “I’m making short term goals when the weather folds…” (Just felt like throwing that in there – just came to mind LOL!!! But really think about that, you can accomplish way more by setting yourself up with many short term goals than one huge goal to be accomplished by, last say 12/29/10!!! So if you wanna make extra money, write yourself checks (small ones – $1K tops) to cash in one or two month ahead… Set yourself a date for your ideal weight, set yourself a goal date to get the keys to your new home, and know, with each goal you will have to adjust your attitude to determine the outcome of these goals… This shit takes maturity and discipline.

Can I be real? I loathe hearing “I have resolution to…” Man to accomplish them shits have a resolution to grow up first!!! Just saying!!!

100 Racks - Dux Jones - FrontStreet Records

Dux Jones - 100 Racks - FrontStreet Records

100 Racks

52/50′s soul and passion are the back bone of FrontStreet’s movement, despite those warlike sentiments of ambition and faith which pour out of ever note played and every word sung.  FrontStreet’s mission lies in the story of believing in ourselves from a penny to “100 racks”.  Although, “100 Racks” is not a story about money, on here, Dux Jones roars at the competition with several unapologetic bars and thought provoking lyrics over piano, bass, and drum in a simple enough manner to capture more than just your average hip hop connoisseur.

Simple put, the bar is raised, pay for talent!
