BET’s Stephen Hill Clears Up Chris Brown’s “fake cry” Rumors

Finally…BET’s Stephen Hill speaks out about the rumors that Chris Brown’s tears were fake, for all the haters of course. There are so many rumors that circulated about Brown’s  emotional performance at the BET Awards but of course the two that were the most repeated were the most ridiculous. One rumor claimed that Brown’s bodyguards gave him tear drops backstage to make him cry. Another claims that Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rihanna boycotted the awards after finding out that Brown would be performing.

Here is what Stephen Hill had to say about the rumors:

On the rumor that Chris Brown’s bodyguard gave him tear inducing drops so that he could “fake cry”

I think the pressure of the year and the lyrics of that song really just resonated. And, as someone who was backstage, there was nothing fake about that. I think there is a US Weekly story today about like his bodyguard gave him something to induce tears. Its just not true. I’ve been around actors who cry and when you fake cry, you don’t get…your throat doesn’t get swollen like it does [when you cry for real]. When he was trying to sing, he couldn’t get anything out. That’s a hard thing to fake. I appreciate people wanting to create controversy, but this guy has gone though a lot this past year, let this emotion be what it is. Everybody comes to the moment where you gotta make that change.

On Jay-z and Beyonce’s no-show

They missed the awards, because…we have this conversation almost every year. And, some years we are really fortunate when Jay-Z and Beyonce are in the house and other times, they go on vacation. But I can absolutely say without reservation that there was no conversation at all around, “If Chris Brown’s coming, I’m not coming.” That’s just false.

Omarion’s Mom Deletes Twitter Page After Chris Brown Fans Go Hard On Her

Apparently after Chris Brown’s performance at the BET Awards, Omarion’s mom decided that she would go to Twitter and let everyone know that  she was not impressed by giving the R&B singer two big thumbs down. Well… Chris Brown fans didn’t take it lying down. They immediately started calling her out and  let her know that they were not okay with her disrespecting Chris Breezy.

Below are a couple tweets that she posted in response:

Hold it…I thought Chris Brown and Omarion were friends? I don’t know what to think about this one. I wanna say that Omarion’s mom was wrong for even commented on his performance because it was a tribute and no one with good sense would try to compare anyone to Micheal Jackson. So for her to make a point to comment on her son’s friend’s performance was kinda crazy…especially because it seemed to be such an emotional performance for him. On the other hand, I wanna say that she has a right to her opinion and if I say that she is wrong for her opinion than I guess I’m wrong every time I post a new blog. Idk…What do you all think?

Musician Chris Brown looks to be having a good time as he strolls into NYC Fashion week in NYC, NY on February 12, 2010. Fame Pictures, Inc

Looks like Great Britain is not ready to let Chris Brown off the hook. The 21-year-old singer was all set to do a small concert tour in Great Britain but unfortunately they weren’t feeling the love. Instead of embracing the singer, they denied Brown entry into the UK.

Officials confirmed to BBC News that Brown’s visa application was scuttled: “We reserve the right to refuse entry to the UK to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offense. Public safety is one of our primary concerns.”

After being sentenced to communtiy service for the assault of ex girlfriend Rihanna, Brown is being forced to cancel atleast six shows. His tour promoter is has also confirmed that the tour has been canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

“U ever feel like the storm clouds are too thick for any sunshine to get through?” Tweeted Brown on Monday

Wow! When is this going to end? What about Chris Brown’s UK fans? Is it really fair to punish them for something that Chris Brown did. Why not just make him pay or fee or something. How long are they really going to rub his mistakes in his face. Let this man move on with his life…he is only 21! How is going to move on and become a better person if people keep throwing this stuff at him.

Chris Brown Criticized For National Anthem

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Shane Mosley

If you were like millions of other Americans, this past weekend you were watching one of the biggest  fights… the Mayweather Vs. Mosley fight. It was an highly anticipated event and to my surprise Chris Brown sang the National Anthem. I was expecting  maybe Jennifer Hudson or Alicia Keyes…but I was pleasantly surprised to see that none other than Chris Brown was booked for the job. I don’t know about you …but I didn’t see anything wrong with it. I actually was thinking that it was a great thing because it gave him an opportunity to be a part of something major again. I think that he needs to do what he needs to do to make sure that he stays relevant. However,  not everyone agrees with me and now the media and twitter are trying to say that it was inappropriate for him to sing at a boxing event. How crazy is that!?! I’m not saying that what he did to Rihanna was anything but cowardly and ridiculous… but he needs to be given the opportunity to live his life again. A big part of his life is singing so LET HIM AND LEAVE HIM ALONE!

Here is a tweet that someone made about Brown and  tweets that he made in response to the critics:
