The look of the week goes to actress and former host of BET’s 106 & Park, Julissa Bermudez.  She was seen at the premiere of  ‘Sex And The City 2 ‘ in New York earlier this week wearing this gorgeous BCBG Max Azria dress and black Proenza Schouler shoes.

This dress is so cute! I love the fit and how the how extra fabric added on the bottom it gives  it  a more classy look. The shoes are really cute as well, they are a perfect fit for the dress. Of course I love the one sleeve look  and it’s really hot right now. Once again… I’m lovin the  look of the week.

Buffalo Residents Put Up A Billboard telling President “I Need A Freakin Job”

As President Obama arrived in Buffalo New York today, he was greeted by a billboard put up by a group of unemployed residents from a  group called the INAFJ Project. Their message read ” Dear  Mr. President, I need a freakin’ job. Period.” The INAFJ Project was created by a Buffalo businessman named Jeff Baker, who lost his own small business 15 months ago. The billboard was strategically placed along the President’s motorcade to ensure that their message was seen.  This comes after critics have complained that President Obama is not doing enough to help American people find a job.  Buffalo, NY  is the anchor city in a region that was already struggling before the recession and now have suffered greatly during.

The INAFJ Project has also posted a video on YouTube and a website called inafj.org.

Special Screening Of Why Did I Get Married Too?

Tyler Perry has done it again with his new movie “Why Did I Get Married Too”. If you haven’t seen it yet…I highly recommend that you take a trip to the nearest movie theatre and check it out, especially if you are married or in a serious relationship. Like every other Tyler Perry movie it is filled with inspiration and life lessons that you can take with you outside of the theatre and into your daily life. In true Tyler Perry fashion, this movie shines light on real issues that couples deal with everyday. He touches on everything  from infidelity to the recession.

If you thought that “Why Did I get Married” was good, you will love this sequel. All of the couples return with some really suprising issues that keep you at the end of your seat wondering what’s going to happen next. Overall I was very pleased with the movie…the ending left me a little disappointed but I have a feeling that Tyler Perry is not done with these couples and I am looking forward to seeing what’s next.

UFC 111- My thoughts

I know it’s late and this event already happened a few hours ago but I just got a chance to watch it thanks to the internet!

I only saw two fights from UFC 111, but man I have an opinion on both of them, so here it is. First of all, Shane Carwin vs Frank Mir. I actually expected Mir to win this fight because of his experience and recent conditioning improvement. Man was I wrong! As I was yelling at the screen because Mir was not fighting aggressively like a championship caliber fighter should, Carwin unloaded a few short punches in a tight clinch against the fence that dropped Mir to the ground in the first round. Wasting no time, Carwin kept connecting with head shots until ref Dan Miragliotta stopped the bout at 3:48 in the first round. Brock Lesnar has some new competition, but even based on tonights performance I still think the former WWE star will remain the champ. However, this is an interesting shakeup for the heavyweight division, which is lacking some real competition in my opinion.

Now for the main event of the evening. George “Rush” St. Pierre vs Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy. While I did not actually see the fight, I heard all about it. I expected St. Pierre to win, as did most, but I heard it was a tough fight. Hardy was hungry to win, and although he didn’t possess the skills necessary to beat a legend like St. Pierre, he did show toughness and resilience. According to UFC President Dana White, among others, Hardy’s main area that he needs to work on is takedown defense. “Rush” earned a unanimous decision (50-43, 50-44, 50-45) after having the Englishmen in some tough positions. No man is unbeatable, but experience and conditioning payed off tonightUFC 111: Georges St-Pierre v Dan Hardy tale of the tapeht. See you at the next one. I might actually pay for it this time!
